How to get there

By Ferry

There are regular ferries linking Ios to the port of Piraeus and to some other islands of the Cyclades. The trip lasts about 7 hours by ferry from Piraeus while speed boats usually need 31/2 hours to reach Ios. Their schedule varies depending on the season.

By plane

There is no airport in Ios. The closest one is in Santorini. Ios, however, has a modern and fully equipped helipad. Ios is only 40 minutes away from Santorini.

Marinas

Those who visit Ios by boat have the opportunity to moor in the marina of the port where they can be supplied with fuel, water, food and electricity.
